My Rating (out of 5): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is proof that one can craft a masterpiece without the use of flowery language. And i hate that i loved this book a lot because the first few pages was written in straightforward prose. I do not like straightforward prose.

I liked that book jumped between the stories of Blomkvist and Salander without warning the reader with ample space between paragraphs. Something about this felt good in that the reader did not have to dwell exclusively on one character. Particularly interesting was the part of the story where Salander and Blomkvist met; this was obviously expected but i was at loss as to how it was going to happen.

Most especially, I enjoyed the fact that the story was not rushed. The author made the average reader feel comfortable being part of a supposed murder left unsolved for over 30 years. It takes skill to break a convoluted story into simple chunks and the author (and translator) did this with discipline and distinction.

I loved the story. But most of all, I loved how the story was told. It was a brilliant story told with discipline and patience
